Bargain-Hunting Package at Wilde Oaks

Little known fact: Albion (and environs) is a bargain hunter’s paradise! It’s true. If you are a true Second Hand Rose, this is the weekend package for you. Upon arrival Friday night, be pampered in the casual elegance of Wilde Oaks’ services/sights/ sounds: 2 1/2 wooded acres, natures’ song, and frequent animal sightings. Next morning, your bargain-seeking weekend begins with a gourmet breakfast fresh from the galley kitchen at Wilde Oaks. Then, relax as you are shuttled to an Antique Auction extraordinaire (furniture, fashions, glassware, silver, collectibles) in nearby Concord.

We’ve seen 4 oak pressed- back/caned seated chairs go for under $40. They were in perfect condition! Leave the auction with your treasures safely stowed in our roomy Sequoia SUV, and it’s back to Wilde Oaks in time for a light lunch (included). Take a therapeutic sweat/soak in the sauna/hot tub, and revel in a short nap in our heavenly bedding in your luxury suite. In the afternoon, enjoy area “rummaging” at the local Goodwill, Salvation Army, Laurence’s Used/New Store, Wanda Brown’s Antiques, Rick’s Used/New, and, for the more adventurous, our two pawn shops. For dinner, take in the local color at our Albion eateries: Cascarelli’s, Charlie’s Tavern, The Phoenix (pool tables—Keno), Peter’s Place, or Lopez’s House of Tacos. You may even want to take in a movie at our Bohm Theatre where a movie/popcorn/drink still go for 5 bucks! Awake refreshed to your second gourmet breakfast and (optional) massage*. Discover the hometown ambience of Albion, the "up North, down South" rustic elegance of Wilde Oaks, and go home toting a bevy of bargains!
